Scrum Lunch and Learn
Upcoming Meeting

November 19, 2008 - November Meeting - Orlando, Florida
At the November Scrum Lunch and Learn we follow up our discussion of Agile estimating with a discussion on Agile planning. We'll talk about taking an estimated backlog of user stories and turning it into a plan with releases and sprints. This provides us an estimate of how long a project will take.

What Others Say

"Robert is an expert in agile development with scrum and having him as a resource is alot better then trying to learn."
- Dan Kinchen, President - One Step Solutions

"It's always great to be able to talk to other people about a topic."
- Tim Rosenblatt, Director of Applications Development - Cloudspace

"I really like the presentation followed by some hands on work. IMHO, there is no better way to help cement the learning than by doing it yourself. I'm also excited by how helpful and supportive Rob has been. He really is willing to put himself out there to help others."
- Gred Pederson, Founder and Technical Director - NSight Development

"This meetup is an amazing resource! I love to share/walkthru realistic scenarios to find out how others handle different situations in their organization."
- Josh Hoskins, IT Director - GreatInsuranceJobs.com and OrlandoJobs.com

Past Meetings

October 8, 2008 - October Meeting - Orlando, Florida
At this month's Scrum Lunch and Learn we'll be talking Agile estimating. Many people believe that Scrum has no planning or estimating - this is not so. We'll talk about the different ways to do Agile estimating, best practices, and then do a few rounds of planning poker.

September 10, 2008 - September Meeting - Orlando, Florida
Come learn about Agile development and Scrum while enjoying meal and great company. At this, or second meeting, we'll do a Scrum simulation. A Scrum simulation is a great, hands-on way to learn more about the Scrum framework and process.

July 16, 2008- July Meeting - Orlando, Florida
For our inaugural Scrum Lunch and Learn the goal is to provide an introduction to agile development with scrum: what is it and how it works. If you are involved in the creation of software as a developer, project manager, an end user, or a customer, this meeting is for you. What do you need to bring? Just yourself, and perhaps a friend or two.
